Excursions

Domestic –We take immense pride in the well-planned domestic tours and camps which are organised with an objective to inculcate values like cooperation, tolerance, patience and teamwork.

International –The school, in collaboration with renowned service providers, offers wonderful opportunities to its students to be a part of educational trips to exotic locations around the world like the U.S.A, Europe and Australia. The experience is enriching, rejuvenating and thrilling. Moreover children learn about varied cultures and societies. 

Community Outreach

The Green Schools Initiative (GSI) is an educational outreach programme provisioned by Kāsiga to educate students about environmental sustainability, and to teach them about measures that each one of us can take in our individual capacities to reduce the carbon footprint.

Beyond Classroom

• Mindspark – It is a computer based, online self-learning tool that helps students improve their Math skills by providing them a learning path, based on their needs.
• Pravah – It is an NGO which conducts workshops to develop the understanding of the self, relationships and the society, in an inter-connected way.
• Pegasus–  Nature camps are organised to let students explore, experience, and establish a bond with the natural environment.
• Callido –These are immersive sessions which introduce the students to the computer languages to be used throughout the programme. Its curriculum fusing offline activities and online modules keeps our students creatively engaged.
• Scholastic Reading –To inculcate the habit of reading, school collaborates with Scholastic India for the students of grades 4 to 8.
• International Award for Young People – Kāsiga has collaborated with IAYP  for encouraging young students to achieve their full growth potential within the framework of Indian society, to improve their moral, social and intellectual well-being, i.e. to ‘Equip them for Life’.
• Design & Technology – Kāsiga is one of the best day boarding schools in Dehradun to offer an advanced Design & Technology curriculum to its students. Electronics, Automated Control Systems, Robotics, Woodworking and metalworking skills form the core of their learning here.
• Global Perspectives– The subject provides opportunities for enquiry into, and reflection on key global issues from different perspectives: personal, local/national and global.​The subject seeks to open minds to the complexity of the world and of human thought and encourages empathy for the diversity of human experience.

It may be noted that while the above two subjects Design & Technology and Global perspectives are part of the Cambridge curriculum, many students have voluntarily chosen to breach the barriers of academic framework and learn these for the sheer fun of it. Kasiga and the teachers are more than willing to accommodate such interests and extend the necessary support.
