Kāsiga offers two curricula, CBSE (Indian curriculum) and CAIE (International curriculum) .The primary and middle school curriculum followed until grade VIII is CBSE. From Grade IX onwards, students have the option of either continuing with CBSE or opting for CAIE. Regardless of the curriculum, teaching learning processes pivot around students. Our supreme concern is as much on how they learn as what they learn.
CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education)
JUNIOR AND MIDDLE SCHOOL
At the Junior and Middle School level, we follow the XSEED curriculum, which uses scientific methods to teach and learn better. Teaching at this level follows the 5A experiential learning cycle: The 5 A’s stand for Aim, Action, Analysis, Application and Assessment. Focus is on conceptual clarity and broadening students’ exposure to multiple branches of knowledge. This helps us lay a strong foundation on which students build the superstructure of their academic career irrespective of the curriculum they are exposed to later on.
SENIOR SCHOOL
At this level our objective is to reinforce their fundamental understanding of the concepts where students acquire additional skills. The purpose is to catalyze the competencies of learners in scholastic and co-scholastic spheres.
SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL
At the Senior Secondary stage, we introduce them to the world of specialization in chosen subjects. Students are equipped with higher order skills to enable a smooth transition into tertiary education.
CAIE (Cambridge Assessment International Education)
IGCSE
Cambridge IGCSE, the world’s most popular international qualification for 14-16 year olds provides a comprehensive range of subjects at high school level. In addition to subject knowledge, it develops indispensable academic skills including oral skills, investigative skills, problem solving, collaboration and the ability to take initiatives. As many as 17 subjects under different streams are offered at Kasiga to enrich the academic experience of students.
AS & A Level
At the AS & A Levels, the emphasis is on acquiring a deeper understanding of the concepts and an attention to detail. Analytical, critical thinking and research skills are a few that get sharpened here. Students also gain expertise in crafting arguments.
